Julian H. Preisler is a professional genealogist, author and documentarian residing in Falling Waters, West Virginia near Washington, DC. I am a native of Detroit, Michigan and a graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I have over 17 years of  research experience. Work has begun on obtaining photographs for Volume Two of the synagogue cd-rom series with anticipated completion in mid 2011. I am the son of Holocaust Survivor parents originally from Germany and the Czech Republic. I have had an intense interest in Jewish history/genealogy and synagogue architecture for over 25 years. My published works include: Jewish Cemeteries of the Delmarva Peninsula Pioneer American Synagogues: A State By State Guide Jewish Genealogical Resources: Mid-Atlantic States Historic Synagogue of Philadelphia & The Delaware Valley Jewish West Virginia - Images of America Series American Synagogues: A Photographic Journey has been reviewed by noted Texas Jewish author Hollace Ava Weiner and appeared in the Texas Jewish Post.
